Cribarth Farm is a 200-year-old farmhouse with a modern extension in the rural area of Llanafan, Wales. The client wanted a breathable paint that wouldn’t suffer from weathering and that would last for years to come. As much of the previously coatings on the stonework were removed using the DOFF system and the remaining flaking paint was removed with a wire brush to obtain as much breathability and reduce moisture being trapped behind the substrate.
KEIM Soldalit Fixativ was applied to the new lime repairs where the stonework had cracked and fissured as well as the new lime pointing. KEIM Soldalit Grob was used to equalise surface textures, followed by KEIM Soldalit, in colour 9073, to provide a long lasting, breathable finish.
