Osberton Hall, Osberton
Osberton Hall is a Grade II Listed country house situated near Worksop. The brick and stone house was originally painted with a failing conventional paint system, and KEIM was chosen to replace this. The adjacent buildings are magnesium limestone, and the client’s requirement was for these to be blended sympathetically with the main country house. The paint was stripped mechanically before a coat of KEIM Soldalit Grob was used, which has a very fine aggregate helping to equalise the surface finish and disguise previous cracks and repairs. Following this, two coats of KEIM Soldalit were applied, which is a waterproof yet breathable mineral paint, with an extremely long life. Senior Colourist Nicola Young was involved in demonstrating the application technique of KEIM Restauro Lasur to the contractors which was then applied over the KEIM Soldalit leaving a spectacular final finish to the property.
