Nestled in Bayswater, a vibrant, multicultural district in West London, stands this gorgeous Grade II listed Georgian building. Behind the grand stucco-frontage, 13-19 Leinster Square comprises five maisonettes, eight apartments and two beautiful penthouses.
London based building surveying consultancy, Celador Consulting Ltd, contacted KEIM after using the products and service previously. A durable, breathable coating was required as the original conventional paint had started to prematurely fail in places, leading to peeling, flaking, and rust staining due to excess moisture.
It was recommended to remove all loose, flaking and unstable material using stiff brushes and broad bladed scrapers to get the surface back to a sound edge.
KEIM Spachtel, an exterior mineral filler, was used to repair areas of old failing repairs, particularly on the sky facing details which were cracking and letting in water with algae growth visible.
KEIM Soldalit Grob, a finely textured base coat, was applied over all surfaces to help visually improve the finish of repaired surfaces before decoration.
A single coat of KEIM Soldalit, in white, was used for a durable, long-lasting and colourfast finish.
