De Grey Rooms in York is a lovely example of early Victorian architecture which was built to a neo-classical design. The former ballroom is now owned by the York Conservation Trust and housed as the tourist information centre. The Grade 2* listed building has been let to the Theatre Royal and the ballroom has once again been restored for dances and events.
The external previously painted smooth render was stripped using KEIM STS 7M, a non-hazardous paint stripper, to bring the building back to the natural substrate and allow full breathability. KEIM Contact Plus Grob was applied, followed by the KEIM Royalan system in colour 9339.
