Seaview Mance, Wigtown
Seaview Mance is a coastal church manse built in 2008. The bare through coloured render, possibly k-rend or similar, was in poor condition. When we visited the property, it was suffering from severe contamination of moss and red algae. Red algae, which is also known as Rhodophyta, is an algae variation derived from a type of seaweed. It is getting much more prolific throughout the UK and Ireland, especially in coastal environments. We recommended a bleach solution diluted 50/50 with clean cold water to treat the red algae and KEIM Algicid to treat the moss growth. We recommended KEIM Soldalit-ME as it offers high levels of algae and fungal resistance and actively kills spores and surface contaminants.
